BLAST PROTECTION
Bomb Blanket & Safety Circle
The SDS advanced bomb suppression blanket and extended Safety Circle is a cost-effective solution of suppressing the blast and fragmentation of an improvised explosive device (IED) should a detonation occur.

It is a very quick, simple yet highly effective way to help protect people and property at risk should the item detonate. Once the suspect device has been identified the extended circle is placed around the item without touching it, then the suppression blanket is placed over the device and the circle thus making the area a little safer while the bomb disposal team are on route.

The SDS bomb blanket & safety circle is currently in service with numerous government departments and by private organisations offices and post rooms. Private companies have realised the added protection the bomb blanket & safety circle affords by minimising the impact on their business should a suspect device be located in their offices. The key to the success of the bomb blanket & safety circle is simplicity, with such straightforward operation, it can be used by trained security personnel or untrained staff members if the need arises.

Blast Container/Bomb Bin
The SDS Blast Container or Bomb Bin as it is commonly referred to, is a cylindrical assembly constructed from extremely strong advanced woven composite fibres, it is designed to withstand blast and fragments from an explosive device containing up to 500g (16 oz.) of PE4 (TNT).
The container enables the user to contain a suspect explosive device, allowing them to safely carry out the company invac/evacuation procedures while awaiting the arrival of a bomb disposal team. The container has a marked datum point on the outside face, this is designed to assist the bomb disposal team in scanning and determining the threat and appropriate action required.
The exterior is coated in a highly visible day glow orange, however, there is an option to supply alternative colours if required. The container consists of the main unit and a removable retaining bag with handles.
